Ian Morrison has been performing the fine art of Hand Engraving since 1997 where he began working under Master Hand Engraver, Scott Pilkington. Although he specializes in engraving custom firearms and knives, Ian has also engraved a variety of heirloom items from pewter baby cups to sterling and gold jewelry pieces. Combining his passion for the outdoors with his natural creative ability, each piece that Ian engraves is a unique and artfully carved one of a kind collectible.

The work shown on this site is hand engraved by Ian Morrison. Engraving done in this manner can be very labor intensive. Initially, we will discuss your project to decide on ideas for design, then, we will design and layout the project and finally, the actual engraving is done. Each project is unique in nature and is priced accordingly. We will provide a quote which will include all of the fees and an estimate of the time necessary to complete the commission and the deposit required. Once a fee for your commission has been set, the price quoted will not change.

We require a non-refundable deposit in order to reserve time on our calendar. Most of the time it is a percentage of the overall fee. While the deposit is non-refundable, we will allow it to be applied to another commission of equal or greater cost in the event of a cancellation. Final payment is due upon completion of the commission.
